BUONDI has just launched a new pack designed to be recycled: BUONDI Prestige, in 1kg packs – intended for professional clients – is the first to be provided in packaging material made of 100% recyclable plastic for disposal in the yellow recycling bins.
This innovation enables reducing our carbon footprint and eliminating our annual aluminium consumption by 2.2 km2, as well as reducing the consumption of water and energy required for producing and recycling this material.
Alongside the new packaging, the plastic tape used on the transport boxes has been replaced by recyclable paper tape.
This initiative emerged following NESTLÉ's commitment to make its packaging 100% recyclable or reusable by 2025.
In addition to not sending any waste to landfills, all the energy acquired by the NESTLÉ coffee factory in Porto comes from renewable sources.
The commitment to sustainability made by NESTLÉ and its trademarks will continue to be a priority. During the last 18 months, there has been a reduction of 150 tons of plastic in the entire production, points of sale and management of disposable items.
One step at a time, we are moving towards reducing our carbon footprint and living increasingly more in harmony with the environment.
